50 Self-Care Ideas to Do This Fall Season

Self-care is important all year round, but it’s something that many people tend to push to the side. Fall self-care is especially important. As the days get colder and the nights get longer, the colder months can make you feel a little down. There’s no better way to lift your mood than making sure to take some time for self-care!

Generally, people tend to be happier in the summer. It’s warm, the sun is out longer, and you can get out of your house and do fun activities. Depending on where you live in the world, during the fall and winter months, this may not always be possible.

A lot of people suffer from seasonal depression due to the colder weather and shorter days, and while self-care isn’t the only answer to seasonal depression, it can help. That’s why it’s super important to make sure you’re taking time out of your day to practice self-care during the fall!

Here are 50 self-care ideas to try out this fall season!

Buy Your Favorite Halloween Candy

Many places in the world this year may not get to go out Trick-or-Treating, or you may be like me and be too old to go door-to-door. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of all the Halloween candy that’s for sale! Go out and buy a big bag of your favorites!

Rake the Leaves and Jump in Them!

It may be a pain to rake the leaves, or you may find it a bit relaxing. However you feel about raking the leaves, there’s no better feeling than jumping in them once you’re done!

Bake Something

With the holidays coming up, there’s no better reason than to bake something!

I love browsing around on Amazon for some new fall clothes! There is always something to find online.

Catch Up On Some Much Needed Sleep

The sun will be going down earlier, so you’ll be able to catch up on your sleep! Whether you’re going to bed earlier or taking a nap throughout the day, don’t forget to get some sleep!

I LOVE decorating for fall! I never feel like I have enough decorations for my apartment. You can decorate for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or just the entire season of fall itself! Whatever the occasion, you can always find some cute and cheap decor on Amazon!

Carve a Pumpkin

Going to the pumpkin patch is one of my favorite things to do! I love setting out pumpkins as decorations each year. Sometimes my husband and I carve pumpkins, and sometimes we search on Pinterest for some cute ways to paint them as well!

Workout at Home

You’ve probably been doing this for months now since many of the gyms are closed, but there is not really an opportunity to work out outside now either! If you haven’t already, search around for some easy at-home workouts!

Buy Fall Scented Candles

If you’re not much of a baker, you can still make your home smell nice with some fall scented candles! I love taking a trip down the candle aisle and picking up a few candles for this time of the year!
